JESUS - COMMUNITY - MISSION

INVITING EVERYONE INTO THE JOURNEY OF
MULTIPLYING REAL FOLLOWERS OF JESUS.

Easter 2024 at The Journey

THREE SERVICES - EASTER 2024 AT THE JOURNEY - SUNDAY, MARCH 31

We're excited about celebrating the Resurrection this year! To make space for more people this year, we will offer three simultaneous services at 9:50am: A traditional-style service in our Sanctuary, a contemporary-style service in the Fellowship Hall, and a second contemporary-style service in the Hangar. (No small groups after services.)

If you would like to help make space by attending the Hangar Service, please click the registration link below or indicate on a Connect Card how many from your family will be going to the Hangar.

We also will be making “invite cards” available to you to pass out in your places of work, or neighborhoods, or in the everyday places that you could extend an invitation to someone to join us for Easter. Also, don't forget to bring flowers for the Easter Cross!

Who we are

We call ourselves "The Journey" because none of us have arrived.  Our goal is to see people take the next step in the journey to follow Jesus Christ.

What we are about

At the Journey FBC Lavonia we are about Jesus, community, and mission. Jesus is our foundation. We are rooted in community for the building up of the body of Christ, and out of that fellowship we are on mission together in the world around us.

What to expect

Our church is ONE church that gathers across two distinctive worship services both at 9:50am on Sundays.  And that same church scatters throughout the week to be the Church where we live, work, and play.

Traditional Service

Our Traditional Service meets in our warm
and inviting main sanctuary.
With gifted musicians and choir,
this service points people
to Jesus through wonderful
hymns and gospel-centered preaching.

Bridge Service

Our contemporary Bridge Service meets in our
Fellowship Hall in
the lower level of our Family Life Center.
This is a band-led service that
points people to Jesus through both historic and
newer songs and gospel-centered preaching.

Current Teaching Series

Jesus Is King

Pilate asked Jesus, “So you are a king?” Pilate didn’t grasp
who stood before him. He was standing in a “thin space”, a
space in which the gap narrows between the Creator and the
created. Pilate missed this moment, but we don’t have to. We don’t have to worry in a world
that seems to be spinning out of control. We have a place, rather, a person to whom we may
go. His name is Jesus, and Jesus is King. This series will consider this question, “What kind of
king is King Jesus?
